Oct. 11th, 2011 07:41 amMore importantly, I forgot to add this scary bit about Faire: Scary red harlequin baby.
Holy shit creepy awesome.
Scary red harlequin baby is on stilts. Baby body has big scary very male painted face.
Baby talk scary. Very scary. Creepy scary. Very creepy. Creepy scary.
"ARE YOU MY MAH MAH!?"
"Hey kids! I have present, a special present for you!"
Makes concentrated grimace
Candy drops down from beneath baby body
Creepy baby makes relieved face
children run to grab chocolates while parents are horrified
Haw man I fell out and applauded. He creeped me out.
Couldn't have picked a better use of the last 80 deg weekend in summer.
Too much insult, degredation of human spirit, and hate in this governor's order for me to describe:

Date: 2011-10-11 12:29 pm (UTC)Unfortunately, I doubt much thought has gone into the order -- that the governor is instead trying to justify her riff on Reagan's campaign slogan "a good day in America" from the 1980 campaign when we were dealing with an energy crisis and stagflation, and, I'm sure her advisers mentioned, unemployment in the double-digits...where parts of SF have been for a while.
All this aside, this level of micromanagement comes out of some particularly bad approaches to management that formed in the 1960s and 1970s. Herman Cain would probably like this, but at least it would only be in the state-run pizza franchise-as-food services.
