I don't really have a thing worth writing down, but since it seems no one else is writing anything I'll do this rather than a meme or quiz. I'm bored, and happy to be bored.

The detail has 2 weeks and change left, and I'll miss it. The work isn't nearly as fun or rewarding was what I was doing, but there is no verbal abuse and the pace is slow. I am thrilled to have less work to do. I can't believe I get to do homework in the office - what a joy!

I appreciate the "Go you, I knew you could do it!" comments about my terrible job interview which has inexplicably resulted in a call-back for a 2nd interview, but that isn't how I feel. I did terrible in the interview. I lacked answers to 3 of 12 questions. I don't feel the least bit bad about my performance - I'm convinced the interview was terrible.
Describe some of your strengths and weaknesses.
"Well let's start with yours, as you obviously have never read a solitary thing about the interview process..."
I did not do wonderful, yay, HUGZ**Starstar!1oneone I might have done less bad than others, and the only way I did well is if they intentionally made a stupid interview as a test of your ability to put up with bullshit and work on the fly. If that's the case, and if the job relates to the interview, I'm not interested. I wouldn't mind not being rewarded if I did well - I know when I do well. I'd rather be happy with my performance. Here, I don't care how I did because the measure itself was poor. I want the job, hope I get it, but that doesn't mean that by getting it I did something right.

I just found out that in VA you don't need to attend law school to take the bar exam.

Speaking of grumpy, want to know a great way to piss me off? Show me something I can't have. A while ago (over a year) I was hanging with someone with some maybe romantic intentions. Didn't work out, no biggie. Later, a friend who was aware of the whole not-affair was trying to get me to go out because "X is going to be here in underwear or less." Why in the holy fuck would I want to see someone I can't have next-to-naked slutting about? Yay, look at all I'm not getting. Wow, that's really hot and I can't have it. Never have, never will. Never had a shot. Awesome. I sure like seeing much more of someone that doesn't find me attractive. Wow, I'll be that's going to make someone-not-me really pleased. Thanks, but I'm going to head off to a car show and look at vehicles I can't even afford to insure and drive by houses I can't afford to rent.

Last night in class an old man stunk. Bad. Like he kept cheddar cheese and cabbage in his shoes for a week. I asked my neighbor for gum as she battled the smell. I pulled out some cucumber-ginseng loition, put some on my finger, and rubbed it on my lip under my nose. I whispered to her "I learned this from Silence of the Lambs."

You resisted....or at least tried....but FAILED!

but okay. you don't post many meme's.

The part about working for the government, and not having much work to do - and being able to do your Homework there for a position that they are just recruiting for frankly disgusts me a taxpayer. If you must know....I don't want to be paying you to do your homework.

More common in law firms, actually. Understand I've been overtaxed for years now, and that I sit in a department that is designed to respond to constituent letters quickly. We're usually overworked, but right now there is a slight lull. I pay taxes too, and this deparment does not make me regret one cent.

What happens in private enterprise is basically irrelevant to the point that I was making - but it is not true in the law firms that I have as my clients. Successful private enterprise understands and expects the lulls, and often puts the time to constructive use. Of course if there is cycles of busy and lull, they often lets the lulls happen to compensate, but last I heard government workers don't work over 40 hours a week without compensation.

Many gov workers work over 40 w/o compensation - like private industry it goes up as you rise up the ladder. I try not to. Still, our salaries compared to private sector are far lower.

I almost understand the sentiment, but I'm tired of being held to inhuman standards under the mantra of "tax dollars" compared to regular private enterprise. We pay taxes too.

Things must be different there then the government offices where I was a contractor. My company had about 80 people at the SEC, and we were all amazed at the lack of work the government workers did. Same true for other offices where I have been. Just recently an old co-worker mentioned that after 30 years working as a contractor she was ready to rest, so she finally took the job the government has asked her to take for years. More money, less work - but for her less dignity as well, cause well all the real work is left for the contractors and she isn't one anymore.

Well I've only been in Labor and USDA. People work in both, and there are clowns in both, but this group in the FSIS is one of the hardest-working I've ever seen. I don't know why they bother for such low wages and no appreciation.

Now they have a policy that if you test positive for drugs (any, off the clock etc) and don't go through their rehab program, you're canned. Yay personal invasion.

Did she say she doesn't find you attractive? There's a difference between finding someone attractive, and being attracted to them. I met up with an ex this past Friday and his new girlfriend is perfect for him... they just mesh.

This kid def. found me attractive, though. I think he finds a lot of women attractive. Hm, now that I think about it, he was feeding candy to ALL the hot women.

Then again, I was taking pictures of all the hot women, and all the hot men. I got a GROUP shot, man. Heh.

My point: you should have gone & molested someone else at this party & made this woman jealous. Heh.

The number of people I can molest seems to have diminished since I cut my hair and spend all my time studying.

Yeah it's not just attractive, but I tend to default to the looks-rank arguments. That was during a period of a wild-lack-of-people-wanting me period. I hate those. I prefer real, deep, interesting interactinos...but I still expect the lust all the time.

someone i can't have

Well, when I'm with someone I'm far more likely to appreciate the things I can't have. I also totally enjoy flirtations with people I can't have, so long as I feel like I'm in their league.

People that don't, haven't, and wouldn't want to fuck me based on my looks creep me out. When I don't know another reason, I assume it is looks. I think that's fair too - I do it, and I've heard too many "deep" females override everything they care about for a chance to do a hot guy to think it's just me. Grr.
