The worst thing is: all the smug SUV drivers are going to act as though this is why they got their gas-guzzling safety hazard creating vehicles...when it has been about a decade since a snowstorm of anywhere near this magnitude has hit, and will be another decade before another one hits. Still, I guarantee when the roads are clear the news will be filled with reports of SUV sales going through the roof. That'll mean a lot in June...or anytime in the next 10 years with accumulations of less than 4'

I admit this: I really wish I had a snugglemuffin for this blizzard. I heard the storm was coming, have plenty of food, plenty of blankets, cable, dsl, guiness, and bicardi. It's just not as fun unless you can turn to your (whatever) and laugh about the mess you're in.

You wake up early.

Me hates waking early.

I can sympathize with ya on the
lack-o'-snugglemuffin situation. All I got are my mutts... and they aren't great conversationalists. Plus, I am getting tired of staring at my reflection and holding a conversation with the ape in the mirror.

Thought you were snugglemuffin'd! At least, I recall someone else's toungue in the morning...and that boot-in-the-ass feeling as I sailed out the door.

I don't like worms.

I had a 4wd at one point. I loved it. I covered it with snow when I could, and the rest of the time it was usually covered in mud. I even had a hitch for towing stuff. It came in handy for road trips and camping. But that's the thing...I used it for it's original purpose. NOT because it was fashionable to drive.
I gave it up cause it was leased, and got the rear wheel drive, not going anywhere in the snow car I have now. I miss it. I admit that freely. But I do agree about the assholes on the road right now. Fuck 'em. once the snow is gone...they'll be paying out the nose for gas just to get around. Ha!

As for being snowed in, I am grateful for having Phil here with me. And it doesn't look as if he's going anywhere for a while. We're having coffee, and laughing at the situation. But we're jealous...you have Guiness!

I'll Admit It

I was looking at this web page last night. In its defense, it is the most fuel efficient SUV in its class and also meets passenger-car emmissions standards. Plus it would be good for hauling the bikes around.
