(no subject)
Jan. 7th, 2014 07:39 amEven though it'll never catch up, I turned the pathetic electric heat pump down when I left for work today. However,
(damnit eljay, something about the code now loads in spurts, so while typing this is jumped to the subject line...how annoying, and does that fight back against the rzn mafia somehow?)
when I turned it down from 70 it already was actually only running at 68. The heat pump is mostly ineffective below 32 or so - a great air conditioner but shitty heater. In theory it will run until it gets so low it needs to supplement the heat exchange with forced air electric heat (which is stupid inefficient and expensive). This results in 2 cold realities, 1) the air feels cold as it comes out of the vents (compared to forced air heat), and 2) when it's stupid cold, you will never actually be the temperature set on the thermostat.
Looking forward to the radiators in the downtown house.
Today I walked to the metro for work looking super sexy
if you have a michelin man kink.
