The computer and all 1-rep max calculators say I cannot bench 225 (2 plates) while my other max records this week were within the realm of possibility by internet gym-info-sites' math. I'm thinking of making a blow out week, or calming down about goal achievement if I'm unable to do this lift which frankly is the more likely scenario.

First, when I'm done with this post I'm going to masturbate, and by masturbate I mean play the new ladder season of diablo II. For those of you who didn't vote that way.

About that attempt to bench 225: fail.

Details:
Warm up was not going well. More specifically, when I leaned over to pick a plate off the rack, I raised my head straight into another bar whacking myself so hard in the forehead another guy came over to see if I was ok. Hint - if any person ever asks a guy if he is ok, the answer is yes. You could have a wooden spike protruding from your heart and you'd automatically report "fine, thanks bye." Then on my next warm up set I was so distracted by whacking my head with metal that I failed to put the smaller weight on the other side...so on starting the left I noticed it was uneven and had to stop to put the rest of the weight on. TWICE. Moron.

The 200 I got 4 on only netted me 3, so it wasn't looking good. I got a spot.

The odd thing was - I was close. I got the bar a little less than half way before I really seemed to run out of steam. I might have actually made it but my spot stepped in and nudged the rest of the lift up.

So, fail, but not bad and all in all a good weak...week. I'm going to slot another attempt for 4 weeks from today.

Now I have a big slightly bleeding bump on my forehead. Luckily nothing up there to worry about.
