Sep. 11th, 2005 08:22 amMARCH FOR FREEDOM
Today they are holding the FREEDOM MARCH. Yeah! Rock on, go Freedom! Go Liberty!
Just note that:
-You had to pre-register before September 9 to participate.
-The route is fenced off, as is the country-music concert.
-The press is not allowed. Nothings says American Freedom like preventing press coverage.
-The country singer will be singing "Iraq and roll," you know...because of all the 9/11 terrorists from Iraq
-Anyone showing up and trying to participate that did not pre-register will be arrested. The full Capital -Police force will be patrolling to ensure compliance and enforcement against dissidents.
-The march is both a memorial to those who died on 9/11, and a showing of support for the military (they mean support as in pro-war). Nice how they mixed those.

9/11 still means a lot to me, but this nonsense pisses me the fuck off.
EDIT - Don't fall into the 9/11 - Katrina trap of telling everyone how you feel about the events.
Watching each and every politician bleed their "heart" out in public, talking about how impacted they were by the images on their tele, rather than funding the programs, taking action etc...has burned lots of people out. No one cares how you feel, how you were impacted. Perhaps if you were there on 9/11 (not near, not a mile away like me, not ten miles away) or have property in NOLA you can talk. Otherwise, you're just a viewer and it's rude to piggy-back to display your feelings.
