looks less evil than the new Pope? 
Isn't it wonderful that Israelis are showing that they are just as insane as the (other) terrorists, only with more money? Ok that's not fair - the majority are obviously pushing to get theinvaders settlers out, but there are sure a lot of those jackasses out there. Palestinians blow themselves up to take out an enemy, where these guys just grab a gun and start blasting.
Anti-war mom: change your message. I like what she's doing on the one hand, think as a mom of a dead soldier she has a damn-good right to do it, but whining that you want to "meet" the present WHEN YOU ALREADY HAVE MET HIM ONCE is just pathetic. The news keeps glossing over her vigil's pointless mission - to talk to the Pres, again. Like that's going to change anything. As I often say about the war, now it's just a question of how big a mess we leave when we go. The damage was done years ago, and we just make it and the US reputation worse if we pull people out now.
I checked a map and Toronto is too far north - about the same as freezing Minneapolis. On the other hand, Amsterdam would be nice, if only I spoke the language.
