Ah ok, I'm an American. I want the end product of activity without engaging in the activity - in fact I'm famously stupid about realizing the end product I see is the result of activity.
I'm so fucking lazy - I keep working on things I can do alone, and not being satisfied with the results. Today I see couples with kids and dogs, the work and commitment I did not make, but the squeals and yips are cute. I like music, but don't bother to play any or even make the effort to see shows and follow good musicians. I like health, but have found not only the best workout in the least amount of time, but of course it's something I can do on my own (my god coordinating with others is so much work). Before this workout, I used to have another alone workout, and another one before that. Sure you can run with others, but that takes work.
My career is this way too - I've dug myself an ok paying hole where I work on my own when I want where I want.
The hours I've played my dumb game I could have used to remodel the bathroom - or for the love of god at least cleaned it. Dust bunnies under a sink are an actual sin. The game is something I can play with others, but I usually play alone.
Got it. I'm lazy, and the things I want take work. I want the things but don't want to work, and really I shouldn't want the "things" when I should be engaged in activities for which those "things" are the end result. Like friends.
Happy america, your version, day.

Then again, maybe you think of yourself as lazy because you know how much more you're capable of.
