I had written a "Motion for Summary Judgment" which laid out the law, stated facts in a numbered list with each referencing a piece of evidence, and then explained point by point why this clown didn't even deserve a day in court. In response, the Complainant did nothing until the Judge told him to respond. He responded in a rambling narrative of 2-3 pages without a single paragraph break - and frankly without many breaks in sentences which covered 5-6 lines. On the way from the office to B'more, I read an excerpt to Janna along these lines:
"The Agency's Summary Judgment Should be rendered mute..."

"Mute?" Janna queried. "Rendered mute? What on ear...oh my god, he means moot!"
You might like it were the Agency's Representative rendered mute.
"Well, yeah!"
I'll respond to the Judge: "Agency's Counsel's significant other wishes to endorse the motion should it be interpreted as rendering the Agency's Representative mute."

What? How did that joker even get into law school, much less graduate, pass the bar, and get a job?

Oh no I'm sorry - I'm essentially boxing with people who have no arms. In my odd type of litigation, it's more like small claims court - I'm an attorney, but many people I'm "up against" are not.

This is a "pro se" litigant, or a guy suing us with no lawyer.

It's actually not that unfair because the law is so clear and simple - his idiocy is not really in his poor writing skill but in the fact he can't get his mind around the idea that when you say you are a victim of discrimination, you have to have some proof of that. For instance, he says he is better qualified than the person who got the job, though they have similar education and experience levels - and her application was inarguably better as, predictably, his was fully of grammatical and typographical errors.

Ah, okay. I was really worried about the state of the world for a minute there, but now I'm back to the normal level of worry.

I re-read what I wrote and note the irony of my poor / sloppy writing while mocking someone else's poor writing! See, had I been clear - say like an attorney should be - there wouldn't have been any confusion at all. Incompetent lawyer!

I'm starting to see why the Handshake Game retains its popularity...
