Atheists and agnostics know more about religion than churchgoers!

Less predictably, the Mormons showed greater knowledge of the Bible than evangelical Christians. I love the Mormon religion for being one of the few, or just the easiest, to flatly disprove with science.

My sister was recently at the temple of space jesus and was amused to read in one of the exhibits that eleven people and two women saw the golden tablets.

I would bet the Mormons score so well because of their mandatory stints as missionaries. If you are going to try to convince people that your religion is superior to their current religion, it helps to know a good bit about what their religion officially believes.
