Do all docs suck?

I went to a doc I've never heard of before since for the past 2 days I've had a sore throat (no other symptoms at all) and today found white spots in the back of my throat. I went to the doctor and after gagging on the popsicle stick he said he saw no spots!? I went back home and I see them - they're even more visually obvious now. Granted, if I "say ah" I don't see them as the tongue is in the way and they're not on the top of my mouth - they're in the fight-the-gag-reflex-when-you-shoot-your-load-in-my-throat part of the throat.
Oh, was that graphic?

He did give me a prescription for antibiotics if I don't get better on my own, but...I just want to run to a doctor to get a real diagnosis from someone who can actually see the damn symptom that I can see in a makeup mirror...and I'm not a doc! Yeesh.

Oh, look. Biology.

Maybe it's thrush. Maybe it's MRSA. Maybe it's a minor problem complicated by acute hypochondria.

No, but for real, the doctor should've at least taken a swab. Did he take a swab to send for culture?
