The gym, mirror, and scale are all being good to me. On a better day I might say those sorts of things don't matter to me, but right now I'm pleased.

Gymatizing is a snowball phenomenon. The more you do one area, the better you are at isolating it, and the more you can do on that area. I’m finding that I’m getting much more used to doing abs work, and MUCH better at really hitting the muscles when I do it. Visually I can see the results with each twist and turn. There’s still fat on them, but not so much that I’d turn down a truffle. I have happy with me tummy now, he he!

Like anything, each new point of focus takes practice, but unlike other sports too much practice gets very quickly diminishing returns. More than half of the problem in the gym is constantly finding new ways to shock the muscle.

On the other hand I'm getting better about my temper, and since I'm reading more I have more interesting things to talk about...but I'd rather blither about my belly for the moment.

I am so increadably envious.

I'm never jealous of someone richer than I am who works harder. Those lawyers making >100Gs who work 80 hours a week? Sure it's a nice house and car, but I'm not going to work twice as many hours to get them.

The gym is the same thing. I work out about 2 hours a day 4 or more days a week. The workouts I do are hard and hurt like hell. I have worked out on a regular basis for the past 20 years, though only at this current level for about 34. It's a trade-off of effort, discipline, research, and of course time. That's all it takes to be at the level I am.

On the other hand, I am jealous of washboard tummy people. At the same time, I do not put in the washboard effort. My favorite washboard guy - I see at 8am any Sunday I'm up early. Think that through - he aint hung over if he's there at 8. He works abs alone for 1-2 hours. While he's got great abs, me...it seems I have a higher priority on time, bicardi, and truffles than he does. I know what I could do to achieve that, but choose not to.

(Yes I'm being silly as I know you were kidding, but I was talking about the $ thing the other day)
