Back from Jamaica - it appears the weather here was warmer than in the islands! However, blue sky and water was had, sand was sandy, drinks were free, books were finished, and much relaxing was had.
I really think I'm not allowed to plan any more trips though. The Rose Hall resort turned out to be very romper-roomish; while we both liked and played in the water park like 12 year olds, the presence of many actual 12-year olds somewhat curtailed the fun. Water park means family friendly which resulted in a full resort and us being about the only couple there not married with ducklings. Doing anything else required going to some other part of the island, and each time you left you'd be dropping at least $100 each on top of the thousands you blew getting down there - plus you had to plan it out days in advance, which ... well aren't you just supposed to choose to wander around and do what you want, including nothing at all, on vacation? To me scheduling time is work. So, next time hedonism.
No pictures - I don't really take them. You've all seen water and sand before, I take it?
Janna is awesome, 'nuff said. We actually did some yoga together, and by yoga I mean she tried to show me a warm up or two and didn't laugh at me as much as she could have. I may be biased based on the fact we have similar skin-to-sun ow ratios...no she's just awesome. I have the happies with her.
Yes, waking up tired and grumpy. Mostly tired. Vacation over now. Coffee. Did I mention that on arrival, after being stuck on the runway last night for over an hour, that somebody was being resuscitated right down to the CLEAR! (bzzt) machine at baggage pickup, with no effect?
On the plus side, our feet are so very exfoliated!
Haven't looked at the internet or work in about a week, didn't miss it oddly.
SO FAT. About to diet and change up my gym program as I'm still doing ok but not great on the elbow. My squats are kinda stuck and the deadlifts take a huge toll, so I'm going to try to find things that work the arms and back a bit more while doing more running. I want to bring back my cardio abilities, lose this stupid gut (because while strong is nice, I think showing my washboard made me happier than picking up things though both are wonderful), and with my on the road / in b-more lifestyle running is far more location independent and easy to keep up. So goodbye 143 and a not-shameful but not lusted after belly, or that's the plan over coffee this AM.

Date: 2010-04-06 02:43 pm (UTC)But I like a belly on a woman. A little, at least. We're supposed to have bellies. :-D I guess I don't feel the same way about men, though.
