vicarz: (Year of me)

This morning I was greatly disappointed to hear the liberal airwaves awash with allegations and complaints about conservatives' verbal and physical attacks on members of congress who voted for the socialist health care bill. Allegations include that after a patriot posted the address of one of a pro-healthcare democrat (actually his brother) where a gas line was cut. Some windows have been broken, and similar to spirited debate, insults and jeers have been hurled at various members. The president and affirmative-action congress members have been targeted, as has a homosexual (openly so) lawmaker. While this language is a disappointment, it is noteworthy that the terms used have been the result of various patriotic Americans calling out as they see it.

The founding fathers established this country in spirited debate, and as a grass roots movement sweeps the nation with outrage of a congress that has gone too far in stripping away our rights, I am proud to see the public getting out into the streets and having their voices heard. Too long the silent majority has had faith that the special interests would be tempered with reason, as real Americans saw their country given away. This latest flagrantly unconstitutional and un-Christian "health" bill, with its death panels for young and old alike, is just the oak that broke the Patriot's back and demanded action. Despite overwhelming action in the polls, on tv, and in the streets, the congress ignored the will of the people and pushed the special interests down the throats of the American people.

The liberal media is trying to blame the violent acts on the political party that is the only one that is really interested in change back to American values, the Teabagger movement. The brave members of the Teabagger movement have taken to the streets of America to fight for their basic human rights, engage in the first amendment protected speech, and engage in historically normal spirited debate. While some have taken the time to question the rhetoric used, few have noted that despite the polls and protests that congress has continually ignored the public they supposedly represent and passed unconstitutional restrictions on freedom and brought this once brave nation to the brink of socialism. Spirited debate is not just saying your views when you are ignored, it is using louder and stronger language to get the point across, using demonstrations, and yes, holding our elected officials accountable for their actions. No more can the members of Congress try to eliminate freedom of Americans and hide in their palatial estates on the coasts.

The actions of a select few have not been called for by the movement, nor does the movement have a formal leadership structure at all. Similar precedent lies in the pro Life movement, where after the cries of the unborn were ignored by doctors, judges, and lawmakers alike - brave men and women posted the home addresses of murderous medical personnel so they might be known amongst their community for what they really did in the dark. It is unfortunate that as a natural result of their murderous ways, a small number of the worst and most famous offenders of Life were themselves receiving of violent acts in response - however the law is clear that no movement, speaker, nor web site owner has ever been held accountable for the actions of those Christian men who took the Lord's judgment in their own hands. While not politically popular, similar conclusions have been found regarding a social club with decades of history in this country, the Knights of the ku klux klan. While they are portrayed as a bunch of redneck hate-mongers in the liberal media, by and large that group is nothing more than a social club, free to choose its members to invite into their homes without any government forced affirmative-action as it so chooses, they have never endorsed violent acts nor been convicted (justly) of committing such. As a result of special interests, their organization has been repeatedly attacked and it's most vocal members silenced. However, even the special interest have never been able to tie the rare violent acts of its members in their private lives to the political organization which freely fights for its God-given Freedoms as promised by the Constitution.

It's time to stand up to the liberal media and its unfair portrayal of Patriotic Americans. Do not listen to the allegations of disparaging comments without shouting yourself against these Unamerican socialist traitors. Do not let the liberals fake crimes against their property, real or imagined, and blame a nationwide political movement that calls for simple accountability for trying to destroy the dream of the Founding Fathers (all of them). Rather than shy away from these hollow words - it is time to shout longer, to demand MORE accountability, and if the liberal media wants to use it's broad brush to fight Patriotic Americans, they will find themselves accountable as well.

Yeah... somewhere along the way, reality itself jumped the shark.

We live in strange, strange times.

I'm just hoping it's not Heinlein's "prophesy" about "The Crazy Years"

I normally stay out of politic debates simply because I don't think it is my job to change someone else's mind and I think everyone has a right to their opinion, but did he seriously just call the KKK a social club that does not condone acts of violence?

sadly, the ku klux klan did start out as a social club that had nothing to do with acts of violence. i imagine anyone having anything to do with the original idea is doing about 5280 turns in their grave per minute.

When I read this the first time it took me forever to get that this is satire. Not your fault, but my first reaction was WTF happened to my friend.

Satire seems to be lost on me these days; I can't comprehend how these people have gone so insane as to suggest violence against the federal government. And Beck etc are encouraging this shit. It's scary.

I grinned the whole way reading it. :-)

I had it with the people I work with today, and finally told them "if it truly is going to do such damage to the economy/country/american way, then I'm sure that when your party gets into power it will be their #1 priority", and thereby inferring that if they don't change it, they're just screaming foul to get people polarized, not because it truly is a danger.
