Left work early to hit the gym, nap, and then work when I'm not freaking out (plus it cheats my comp time - I take the comp time, then work all weekend on comp to re-earn it back in spades). Got home from the gym and they're outside using those unfiltered diesel noisemakers in my complex to de-forest. My god I hate weed-wackers, mowers, and those horrid blowers outside my window. Finally, peace and BWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Again I repeat - losing the election is not "taxation without representation" - it's whining same as the right-o's said Gore was doing when he "lost."

those would be my academic compatriots who "do" identity politics and analysis, but mostly tend to be middle-class, White, and straight but are "sympathetic" toward non "hetero-normative" lifestyles...
the same one who were horrified when I told them about overhearing a tearful and freak-out undergraduate who didn't know who the father of her child was...because she'd slept with three of the six suite-mates the same weekend, without protection...
immediately followed by the undergrad in my class, (he was early, this was before the class started) who looked at me and said..."poor breeders...I don't have to worry about protection"...
...I looked at him and said, "bareback? and you KNOW where they've been?"

heh. heh. that subject came up in class...I love reading undergraduate body language. It is also, so damnably hard, to resist saying "you may be tight and sweet now, but wait 'til 35 when you look like a bowl of oatmeal someone dropped on the diner floor." - it goes for the jock guys as well as the sex-kitten girls. no matter their orientation.

Yeah- I love this faux-patriotic duty some folks have taken upon themselves to lash out against the Administratum that oppresses them.

You know- the people that just watched people with brown skin and/or 'un-American' last names get blacklisted from flights, thrown in holes in the ground, or 'not tortured' over the past 8 years.

Don't fucking tell me about 'representation'. Disagree with the administration all you like, but at least be fucking genuine in your arguments.
