vicarzI'm not posting again for no reason - I'm performing a public service for those unnamed people who have nothing to do right now but scan LJ. I look silly in my skull knit cap. Downloaded Firefox with adblock again, this time on the laptop where I am experimenting not blocking cookies to see how it goes. Am discovering that I did indeed wake up tired, and coffee/tea/happy greatly mitigated but failed to remove that effect. I'm reading about the destroyed housing market, the falling used home sales in the dc-metro area, and feeling less silly about selling when I did - hell downright happy. Also, feeling happy. And tired. I should probably go home now.
Today is deadlift day - deadlifts are insane. I remember seeing a big guy put a huge weight on the ground, then pick it up and put it down repeatedly. I knew he looked strong and I respected the weight he was doing, but it was the most idiotic looking thing I had ever seen. What good could that possibly do, and where was the application? "Honey, over there by the lamp. No, wait, by the tv. No, try by the other lamp." Turns out this exercise target the erector something which is fun to say in a euphemistic way. Spine. I do it without grips because I like having my hands get stronger too, and I tend to bend a little bit too much if I don't - straining the back too much with bad form. I don't dread deadlift day like I do squats - I never want to drop a weight and I've come close, but a weight 3 feet off the ground in my hands is less scary to me than weight on my back as I try to squat to the ground from standing. Dropping < falling.
May be mulling wine on the holiday. More about the mulling than the wine, but there will be fruit and ahammer maul involved. Mull.
