Yay? I just bought an as-is Klippan sofa with black cover for only $300 - though I'm paying them $80 to have it delivered. I could have gotten it between 5 and 10 tonight, but I asked for between 4 and 8 tomorrow. Huh. Wish I had a friend with a truck, as we all do that once every 6 months to 2 years we want to move something.

I am not paying them an extra $60 to carry it up the stairs, so I could use a strong volunteer to help me lug it up the stairs. I pray to whatever that it fits in my apt door! Then...to heave off the old couch.
Hmm...if it doesn't fit around that wall in front of the door, I do have a new stanley fatmax extreme 20 oz version that I could use to discuss my disagreement with the wall

Anyone around Rosslyn, VA, tomorrow evening-ish?

I didn't know that! I checked the rental cars they noted at Ikea and they were $40 / hr, $50 day. I know you can get a u-haul for $20 - 30 plus mileage, that always is over $50. For taht I figured close enough. Plus...$560 retail couch (when cover counted) at my house for 380...still pretty sweet.

Good to know for the future though - I'll have to ditch the old one. Wonder if Murky can still take it.
