Wendy's gift
Thumb-head with sunglasses
hugs the microphone
only to mumble
Ballads clouded with fog
They are not gothic
but the audience is
old
No seriously, a great shout out to Wendy for taking me out to Sisters last night. The show wasn't bad, the crowd was nice. I'm afraid the poor sisters suffer the same curse that djs in the goth scene have - they've heard the same 50 songs for 20 years, but their audience is used to hearing it a certain way. They played a bunch of great songs, but kind of rushed through them. Many were at different paces, faster, others were just cut off quickly. It was nice to play reunion with people who don't make it out to clubs as often. However, I'm dragging just enough to think Wed is not my favorite club night. I feel absolutely hung over this AM, though I had nothing to drink.
One person I have to point out was Carolyn - she's dropped a metric ton of weight in the past few months, with advice from professionals, and is looking like she did ten years ago. Wow! She talks about exercise with trainers and a change in food.
Anyone else feel like going to a rave at WUST radio hall? Sigh...
I'm being lazy about trying to organize another TOWN dance club night, but I still want to go there and gay-boy dance all night (ok, until midnight when it gets too crowded) to gay-boy dance music.

Date: 2008-11-06 01:10 pm (UTC)That's an understatement!
You're welcome! It was good to get dressed "old-school," get out and get some hugs from people I haven't seen in a while. Plus, I needed it.
Thank YOU for making sure my extra ticket didn't go to waste!
