WHOA - VOTING ALERT!
Give yourself plenty of time for voting, because the line for my poll at 5:45 this AM was about an hour long and wrapped around the block (this with the polls opening at 6 AM).

Rumors:
I heard you can't wear campaign materials in the polls, but saw both Obama and McCain stuff on people voting.

You can get free stuff today, but technically starbucs, ben & jerry's, and krispy kreme are not allowed to give you anything for voting. I get the origin of hte law, but do you think donuts, coffee, and ice cream will get people to wait in line for an hour to vote?

In much more important news, yesterday I realized I'm back in the gym for real. I'm not anywhere near where I was before, but while my elbow yells at me - it's not sore for days on end. My weights in most areas are not far from where they were, and even the weak areas are all now over 50% of where they used to be. I'm in rehab, but I'm back to working out. Feels. So. Good.

You can wear pins & shirts, but you can't wear costumes or have signs.

You better wear something else or you won't be able to vote. I know plenty of people who work for the election office so they know the rules at least here. One of them was told to remove their button, but since she knows the rules didn't have to.

really? damnit, I would've saved my shirt for today. But I'm not sure you're right. My husband told me someone in line in front of him this morning was asked to remove their button before going in.

I don't live in Va & when I did that was the law, but it doesn't surprise me that it changed.

Ah well...I cheated a bit...took a half day off of work for a doctor's appt, then headed over to vote after that. Now I'm home with the whole afternoon...and I can't decide what to do first!!!

Cool about you getting back into the gym. I've been taking off for a bit now as my workout buddies battle some personal demons. Missing it. Wondering how much longer this will go, or if I should just start back on my own, and/or does that lift partner/safety buddy really matter as much as they say?

I work out alone - workout buddies sound fun, but I never want to be dependent on someone else. Got through life this far alone - can't count on anyone.

I suppose it matters as much as you let it.
