Is this when the rats move around, or around 3-5 in the morning is it just when I've passed the desperately needed sleep point and finally wake up to the noise? I cannot keep doing this. On the positive side - I have pets!
Lost this auction but at least I have a better idea of the type of memory I'd need to upgrade this computer. It takes pc800, but my current chips are pc1066 - turns out the stuff is rare and spendy. At $1-300 for just .5 gig, why not just buy a new computer? I'm going to take one of those build your own pc courses because even though a built system is about the same, at least I'll have a better idea of how to swap components. Well, unless a really cheap system falls in my lap.
Noticing that while I've gotten every other muscle in my body sore, that no matter how many ways I hit my chest to exhaustion, it doesn't get sore. Remind me these fast gains in my squats are not so much muscle gain as increased muscle fiber firing.
Had a lovely gay brunch at Freddies yesterday, but...
First, people always say I look gay, often noting my physique as one of the "signs." Well, the cute 5 gay boys I ate out with were all just skinny. In fact, of everyone there, I was the only one with muscles unless you include the butch women who looked like plumbers.
Second, my age is obvious no matter what nice things my friends say. Nothing makes your age obvious like a table full of younger gay guys discussing age and politely avoiding you entirely in that part of the conversation. Yeep.

Date: 2008-01-21 12:06 pm (UTC)I think that you had no interest in rats as a pet even if you were willing to get one. Is there nothing that can be done at all about these rats? I don't have any ideas because my step father would take care of that & I don't think there was any at mom's house. Do you want me to send you some of Titus fur? I'm kidding, but that might get them to move.

Date: 2008-01-21 05:27 pm (UTC)I'm not trying to just do more - in fact I'm basically not doing more than 3 exercises per area. I am bringing weight up and reps down a tad, and trying to rest less between sets. Upping intensity while trying not to be so exhausted overall that I fall or drop something.

Also, there are quite a few knowledgable people who believe that persistent soreness is a sign of over-training -- you gain strength by maximizing the benefits from a combination of stress and recovery, and persistent soreness indicates that you're not allowing enough for recovery.
Many people find that an easy jog helps with overall muscle soreness (I have myself). It really is horribly cold out, though (I just got back from the barn -- 22 degrees).

I'm really sick of paying dues. I feel like I should have one hell of a credit balance.

There is much to love about the rat. Fantastic animals, really.
