vicarz: (Morons! All of you!)

I stopped by the condo management office on the way home and wound up talking to the mgr and a resident when the mailman came in. I had seen him in the hospital when my dad was in Sibley, where his dad was as well - in his 90s and with a fresh problem. He asked "How is your dad doing?" I answered "Terrible, don't ask!" His immediate response was "Mine died." Shut me right the hell up.

It seems I can't avoid it. I'll try to deal with how people react - like I can't control the way my dad's health goes up and down, I just have to deal with the fact people try to talk about it.

Sorry if I was a dick. I've hidden my last 2 posts to protect the innocent.

I would appreciate it if you would not ask me, when I'm engaged in happy escapism in a party or nightclub, how my dad is doing. He is doing terrible and will always be terrible until he dies, which could be any moment but hasn't happened for over 4 months now. However, if you don't read this thoroughly or innocently ask how he's doing I'll try not to tear your head off. I'd still rather you don't ask, but you do what you have to do, and so will I.

Should I ever venture out and run into you I shall only discuss with you how awesome your abs are.

With that said I DO hope you are doing well.

You know what? You may have been a dick about it, but you're also going through something that really, really difficult. And people who think of themselves as your friends should make some space for that.

Well you don't have to worry about me asking you at a club. I understand being a little unhappy when people ask you about your dad that's how I feel when people ask me over and over again what is wrong with me & how I am dealing. Sometimes I can't decide if they are trying to annoy me or if they have no memory either.

I'd love to see you in a club :(
and yes, exactly the same issue or style of issue you're talking about.

There is little chance of me going to a club. For one I can't dance, but also the music is too loud, I don't wear black, & I don't really like any music other than oldies.
