I think I may have found a new icon...

I'm...I'm broken! Why am I a boy-doll, named Fred, in a dress? This is crazy world
Poor long-haired dress-wearing boy was just decades ahead of his time...

It only occurred to me last night that all the work I did all day disappears in a puff of mist if this settlement goes through. It's good for everyone, but yeesh. I worked hard. I guess I'll chalk that up to practice, and learning more about the issues involved with countering and soliciting expert witness testimony.

I took last night off after the hospital visit. No work out. No fixing or cleaning. Nothing social. Just ate simple, watched simple tv (nothing on), comfort gamed, ran laundry...no work, no real calling / talking marathon, no updating relatives, no helping anyone, no intense anything. Just relaxed. I think I actually got sleep last night.

I found I could do this old trick...squatting down to the floor on one foot, and rising up again. It's like the worst tai chi move ever. I remember this trick from the stoner martial arts wannabe days, and we couldn't do it. I figured if I could squat my weight to the floor, I should be able to 1-leg the same thing. Some balancing and experimenting later I found it was doable if I put the free foot forward (keeping the same general motion as a squat). Now, can I work this trick up to a side held free leg? Should I worry that my knee sounds like someone mashing corn in a mortar and pestle?

Argh! Just reading about that old trick makes my knees hurt. I wish they'd quit aging so much faster than the rest of me.

My left knee, which is now missing part of its medial meniscus, makes that mashing-corn-in-a-mortar-and-pestle noise every time I get up from a squat. I asked my surgeon, who had the same surgery I did, and he said that it is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. Unless you're having steady pain, or pain that comes in quick, gasp-inducing bursts when you do that motion, I think you're fine.

Gasp-inducing bursts when I do a motion...I kinda miss that!

Sweetie, if the gasp-inducing bursts you miss are coming from your knees, you got a problem. =0)

They're called pistols. That you can do them is fairly impressive, and something to be proud of.

(thank you)

They don't seem that hard, except on the joints. If I could do it with my leg up or sideways, now that would be cool. However, if they are hard, that would explain the panting. I want to try to get them so I can keep my foot flat instead of rising the ball of the foot.

Why wasn't I this discplined as a kid or young adult? Oh yeah, coz i was a kidd and young adult.
