All my news that’s fit to print. Thank everyone for emails and phone calls, sorry I am not responding 100%.

Dad’s worse, but I was glad I was there when I was. Minor complication that might not be minor. Might be. Haven’t heard. I think I might have just caught him in a "lie," in that it appears he was actually getting surgery during my bar exam - only he fudged the date so I wouldn't be worrying at the time. I'm a little fuzzy so I'm not sure. Sounds like something he, or I, would do.

I got my class ranking yesterday - I failed. I was in the top 26%, but again, only the 25% was with honors. 55/206 (tie);Top 30 Percent shows on my transcript. It’s done, I tried and could not or did not achieve what I wanted to achieve. I’m going to find a positive lesson in that somehow, in coping if nothing else. A while ago that would have been big news to me. It’s still a mild disappointment.

Renting the apt is hysterical. I had a bunch of people show up last night, mostly gay. If anyone wants to argue that there isn’t discrimination against gays in this liberal area, then if nothing else, my experience shows there is a great deal of apprehension on the part of gays regarding fear of discrimination. I’m doing a reference check on a possible renter, looks like a Sarah Lawrence girl group, and if that doesn’t work out then the Thai guy is my second choice. I feel awful that I can’t have them both - I almost want to buy more apts to rent out! “Here, just move in with me...I have a room...” The nice thing is with such high demand I get to be honest and weird.

See my fat-cell-plushie icon? I've been eating too much theraputic chocolate, and gained literally a couple lbs, so the constant chocolate binge ends today - no surprise.

Let me get this right -- did you fail you class or did you fail to get honours in your class? Also --this has nothing to do with passing the bar and getting a "Vicar Esq." in you signature, does it?

I failed at the goal of achieving honours :)
Esq is a fake title I don't intend to use.
But no, it doesn't mean much except to me.

I hope your rental works out really well. I'm sorry you didn't reach your goal with the bar exam. If it makes you feel any better I didn't get anywhere near the research I wanted last night & alls I did was file te research I did rather than write the stories down.

As for your dad I'm really sorry about him. I sure hope everything is alright and as soon as possible.

Good luck with everything. a superstition is that if you get a bird to poop on your head it's good luck. Maybe you should try that. ;p

Bar exam is still pending - it's getting honors in school I missed. Bird poop seems appropriate.

If you're willing to try to get a bird to do that, you're welcome to try. I'm sure that you did good on your bar exam, but since you always put your goals so high you'll probably be let down because very few people get everything right all the time.
