I failed. I decided to ignore the heat and run my 5 mile course - it's at least half in the shade, and I didn't really work my legs since Monday. I don't think I made it half way...I convinced myself once I got under the trees on Ros. island I'd rebound...uh uh. I noticed that my normally heavily-populated-with-hotties trail was deserted, I wasn't really sweating, and my mouth was dry. Somewhere between fear of passing out from heat exhaustion and plain old physical exhaustion I just stopped. I tried to start again a few times, but never really got going again. I don't think I should ignore 90 deg F heat anymore - not for running.

I have the fever at work again. I LOVE what I'm doing. Yesterday blew, but I was so revved about it...I'm so revved now. I found more information that makes this case a real winner - idiot signed a settlement agreement in June 2006 which withdrew all pending claims and agreed never to raise any claims about that or any preceding issue of any kind ever again, and I just got a copy of that agreement. His entire claim is chock full of claims dating back to 2004, as are his damages. He also testifies repeatedly about allegations based on conversations in mediation sessions, and I just got copies of the confidentiality agreements from both that he is currently violating. For policy reasons almost all his testimony must be kicked out, but if allowed in, his credibility is shot. I'm having fun putting a bunch of this in a motion - it's all already in the open, but I just get off on being the one to make the arguments. This is why this job is good...the promotion is nice too, but I like what I do! Hope this lasts :)

I might go to potato mill and shop for bon-bons. Lindt...take me away!

Don't make jokes about failing anymore. I was terrified that you some how meant the bar exam. Not running as far as you want isn't failing. Glad your job is even a little better than yesterday.

I suppose passing out from heat exhaustion might have been. Sorry for the scare...I won't know about the bar until Nov :)
