Got this email, did the survey, appears legit and did not attempt to save any type of cookie onto my computer. I am a tad skeptical because it was essentially received as spam through my gal/lez group at school, which is listed in yahoogroups, but it is a gay group so it may be um...appropriate spam:
To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Raymond Trau from the Department of Management at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. A global online survey is being undertaken to assess the factors that affect the career experiences of lesbians and gay men who work in office/professional environment and/or are professionally employed. Specifically, this research will yield important evidence on the effects of identity, stigmatisation and disclosure of lesbians and gay men on their social and developmental relationships at work. Additionally, this research will provide important information on the consequences of these relationships for the career outcomes and general wellbeing of lesbians and gay men.
The findings of this research will provide much needed scientific evidence on the career development issues of the lesbian and gay populations which will assist the educational community in understanding the career experiences of these unique populations; assist the business community to implement better policies and practices relating to its LGBT employees; and also provide important information for LGBT communities worldwide as to the specific strategies associated with a better career trajectory and quality of life.
I am writing to you to request for assistance with the distribution of this online survey to the members of your organisation/ group. To participate in this online survey, they need to go to the web address below and enter the password indicated to log in:
