Had another really good time last night in chronos. The music was ok, lots of old friends in the place, and interesting people to look at. Ran into an unexpected drawback to the lack of smoke benefit - pooting! I can't believe someone was running around the club pooting, but they were and it was disturbingly obvious. Ew. Also, I can't figure out why there are entire sets of "radio music." Yawn. On the odd but fun note, I got my best wiggle on last night to Madonna. So if you're going to play radio music, Prince and Madonna are good, while strummy college rock is not.
Got to see Sue before she dashes off to be an expat. I question what god is doing to USia when good people like her go scampering off. Dana took our pic after some camera fuddling, and Sue made sure to get a J&J shot (wow that sounds like porn) (that sounds a lot like porn) (that sounds like good porn). Also got to see Kim who came from the friggin airport...that girl has stamina!
Did anyone else notice how pretty Tracey looked last night? I was trying to buy her a drink when she turned tables on me and forced me, against my will, to her buying me a drink instead. You just can't trust some folks. Slash and Tracey both were really 'on' on the dance floor - spent a bit of time watching them dance. It wasn't the Gwar-Stevie Nicks show I adore, but they were both independent while still interacting with each other - really nice to watch.
Here's today's political note:
GINGRICH WAS HAVING AN EXTRAMARITAL AFFAIR WHILE HE LED THE CRUSADE AGAINST CLINTON. I knew Gingrich had a horrible history of romance, leaving his ex-wife on her hospital bed and married his HS geometry teacher...but the timing of this lunacy is amazing. Usually when I call people hypocrites I'm speaking in a more general sense. Gingrich notes he isn't a hypocrite because he didn't lie about his affair to a Federal Court.
This won't stop the march of the right one bit, of course. In religion and politics it is what you say, not what you do.
