Boring school stuff:
Oops...the top 20% is announced as graduating with honors. The top 25% actually is registered on paper as graduating with honors. I'm in the top 30%, so it's quite possible for me to graduate with honors. I'm also failing miserably at this whole not trying thing. I have done the same thing for 3 years, and it's hard to skim, hard to skip, and habit to review over and over again.

I was trying to not get the book for Bus Assoc, as I bought the 4th ed as soon as it was posted, for $20 plus $15 for the supplement. It had a new edition out in late June, the 5th, which I was going to skip. I copied the TOC from the 5th edition, and it appears they really did revamp the entire book, so I may be blowing the $114 for the new one. Owie.

Lawyer people - I have asked before and will ask again, so don't put a lot of energy in a reply, but MD vs. VA bar debate - what is a good place to find information?

You could of at least made some stuff in it up, like you had to shoot 10% of the top 20% with 100% of your gun or something, and you only used 5% of your ammo that day! .... Gosh!

Maybe do a search on infirmation for the MD v. VA bar.

Unless you plan to practice law in the state of VA, I'd take MD (and then waive into DC). Both MD and DC have no CLE requirement, which is a god-send.

Yes, but there are a good amount of firms in the Tyson's area, and they love GMU grads.

Where did you do the bar? Why? Did it help/work?

I took the VA Bar, but since I work for the feds, it didn't do much for me. However, I do know that there are more options for private employment with the VA/DC Bars than there are for Maryland.

No matter what, I am waiving in to DC - flat out. I know you need to do that relatively soon after passing the bar.

You need to waive into DC within a year (I think) of being sworn into your home bar (which is different from the date you pass the bar).

I thought you had 5 years. A friend of mine waived in at least 3 years after she was sworn in, but I could be wrong.
