Wanna join us hiking?
This coming Sunday we're thinking of making the hike communal! This probably won't be the only one, but we're planning on driving less than 90 minutes to a destination (probably less than 60 minutes but the plan isn't cemented yet) and hiking 4-6 miles or so with moderate terrain. We are taking a rescued dog with dominant tendencies, so while dogs would normally be welcome and a wonderful idea, we're not sure this pup will play nice with all the commotion. We're probably leaving Sunday around 8ish? We may congregate around 8 at http://www.murkycoffee.com/ 's Wilson Blvd / Claredon location (they claim they open then on sunday, but that same websites says these are their winter 2006 hours).

Updates will be made when Jen tells me what I forgot or just got wrong ;P

If you're interested bop me a comment, email, or phone call.

Feeling good? Not really, the gut looks like a gut...I'm so close to defined abs, if I flex just right you can really see them - but I have just enough chub to not turn heads. Well, a couple of cute girls did ask me for directions while I walked through Rosslyn shirtless. Coincidence? It's just my arms look skinny and my tummy is a tummy. Close. So vanity isn't doing so good, but I'm not embarassed. I just want to be "Oh hell yeah, if that guy were only 5'9" I'd so hit it" good to strangers. I'm quite happy with my strength right now.

sweet. I think I can make that, as long as I am back by 5ish to feed the Maxter.

P.S. Now that I've been lifting, I'm getting a nice muscular platform that pushes the fat out more....I look like I have a gut now too ;-)

Really!? We'll have to talk about this one - I forgot about that. I hate cardio though...sigh. So my huge muscles push out the fat for all to see. Eh.

yeah, I haven't been doing as much cardio - need to step that up - been focusing on strength/endurance.

Although part of it is I am hungry as hell, eating more.

Muscle glazed with fat. That's how I've always described it (I have it too).

I actually prefer being that way, as opposed to being one of those people that looks more stringy and haggard as they muscle up.

I know that it makes more sense, I know that people who really lift have bellies, and I know...eh screw it. I really just want to look like the kind of xylophone you play with your tongue. Without working for it.

I'd love to come, but don't know if we can. Can I call you on Saturday, if we can make it?

I wish I could join you, but I'm a 50 mile bike ride starting at 9am. Keep me up to date on hikes, though, I'm interested in doing some.

We'll post group hikes with some regularity. Catch the next one.
Where are you biking? Mountain or road?

Yeah, I should catch the next one.. I am doing a ride here in Southern Maryland. I do road biking, but I used to have a mountain bike. I'm training for a 100 mile century in September, and actually probably another century earlier in August.
