"Regarding a potential motive, this appears to have been part of a plan to kidnap a person, rape them, torture them, kill them, cut off their head, drain the body of blood, rape the corpse, eat the corpse, then dispose of the organs and bones," Purcell Police Chief David Tompkins told a news conference.
Potential motive? No really, tell us the whole deal - we can take it! Throw in a couple specifics, wudja?
Notice that this guy would not have been stopped by the often-debated sex offender registry. Once again, he was known to the family. Notice the recent headline grabbing double shooting of sex offenders followed by the suicide of the perp?

I just can't buy into the post-incarceration identification arguments - if they're still threats (unlike murderers) then make the sentences longer. Oh, and distinguish molesting a child from hooking up with your younger consensual lover. Notice this is the second time in recent headlines there has been a killing spree of people on the sex offender websites? 5 people were taken to the hospital after the guy's blood (and other bits of head) splattered them when the perp shot himself.
There was a weird article recently where an internet sexual predator "victim" was testifying to congress about his horrible experience. The young boy had a cam on his computer, and did strip teases, showers, and masturbated on web cams. He made hundreds of thousands of dollars getting gifts and whatnot. He may have later been actually molested, as in touched, but the portions of testimony I saw were talking about how he was manipulated and molested over the internet, not in person. The fuck? Save children from exposing themselves on the internet and making money hand over fist? How do I sign up to be victimized? How about that former beauty pagent 31 year old teacher (and hottie) who is bopping her 13 year old male student? Why couldn't that be me?
I found out this weekend, on a hot date, that I've been misquoting Patrick Stewart in Jeffery for the longest time! I thought it was "Love the earring...last year." I was wrong, it's "The earring. Fun. Last year."
In news that actually matters, tonight is the psychoburbia reunion thingy. I'm going! I looked and I still have my member ID card - nifty. I get a discount off the free admission, plus xtra cool old-school scenester points.
