vicarz: (Year of me)

I nailed my second interview like a $20 whore. They noted that the position has been empty for as much as a year in the past, making me think if they can do without anyone in the position at all then certainly I can accomplish the mission.

I discovered the source of the "musty" smell in the office. It's my office-mate's shoes. I thought as much, as Rin said "A disgusting, yet strangely familiar smell." I now shoved her shoes in a plastic bag for the sake of the innocent. If anyone has ideas about how to handle this delicate situation, I'm all ears. It's hard to tell someone: their breath smells, they smell, their feet smell so bad you can tell across the room, their teeth are off color, they have hair growing from a mole that scares more than just small children.

Happy half-price flower and candy day.

I'm tired. Thought I had something more to say.

Edit - now I remember.
I checked the grade spread to see my new class rank since my GPA went up. No dice - everyone went up as much and instead of moving up, I am still on the bottom of the 30% class rank mark. With honors / cum laude is 20%, now at about 3.5 gpa. There is no way in hell I'll be up there by graduation, so really there is no reason to try. I'm disapointed that my boost in grade has no meaning, and that there is no reason to strive for better grades (not that I have luck achieving them). Now the only thing that seems reasonable is to not fall into the bottom half of the class, as if that mattered.

If it's the teeth thing, they probably know and can't do much about it.

I bleached mine more than once, and see the dentist every 6 mos. I've had friends go from black and brown broken johnny-rotten snags to white - dunno what they did, but it's very doable.

I didn't know my teeth were yellow until a friend told me. I saw them every day, and they just looked straight to me. However, I also note fixing them can be very very expensive.

Smells, on the other hand, are easily avoidable.

Mine are yellowed from taking a lot of tetracyline when I was younger, and I would love to get them whitened, but can't really budget it anytime soon. :(

Congrats on the interview.

I also took that crap as a kid, for zits (how the times have changed), and I think that yellow is just their natural color.

However, you can get the whitening stuff from crest for $20-30 in most stores, and there are many coupons floating about.

My problem there is that thanks to braces, my gums receded - and you can't whiten the part beneath the gum line (lacks enamel), though you can still get the main parts.

Touché! How about first with drunken misplaced enthusiasm, then followed by horror, sorrow, and regret?
