I can't help it - sure, DeLay is facing charges, but this shows the nature of the game:
As a sign of loyalty to DeLay after the grand jury returned indictments against three of his associates, House Republicans last November repealed a rule requiring any of their leaders to step aside if indicted. The rule was reinstituted in January after lawmakers returned to Washington from the holidays fearing the repeal might create a backlash from voters.

I mean...the complete lack of shame is just unbelievable. This is after they were changing ethics rules to fit his frequent violations.

If there's one thing I hate about the current government more than its idiotic mishandling of Iraq, it's its complete flaunting of anything remotely resembling rule of law here in the U.S.
