Butterfly kisses

vicarzFor a moment the world stopped rushing, worrying, and making noise,
and succumbed to her kiss
lightly touching, like a butterfly had briefly alighted upon my lips
only to leave again
and return,
her tongue gently darting across my open mouth
there was nothing but this moment
Sounds so much nicer before the hike of the hundred butterflies at old rag. It turns out that butterflies, while beautiful and delicate creatures, have a strange penchant for horse poop. I kid you not - we walked down the fire road and you’d see piles of the poop de horse, with dozens of beautiful happy butterflies all feeding off of the droppings. They’d fly off in a flurry of delicate wings as you approached, leaving you with the fear of touching these lovely creatures and being smeared with dung like you lost a fight with a monkey.
