I talked to my bud about the extended position announcement, and he says the person who extended the announcement wanted more applicants because the pool was so small. He never glanced at the ones that had arrived, only asked how many. So it's still going on, but a bigger maybe than I realized.

I'm freaked because this AM a front tooth appears discolored! It's not a bad color (I see the dentist every 6 months) but it appears some enamel might have vanished. This is not good, looks weird, and it's noticeable. Anyone know what this might be - did the bleaching damage my enamel in addition to my gums? I might have to see the dentist.

Yesterday on the way to the store a homeless guy challenged me to a fight. I couldn't really make out what he was saying exactly, but he got madder when I laughed. I actually thought about hitting him because it would suck if he yelled at someone that might feel threatened by him, but instead I just laughed at him and seeing that only made him madder, which was funnier so I laughed more...

In the store I was followed by employees and security everywhere I went. I didn't blame them - I wasn't offended - I was in a clothing store with a backpack on - duh! I'd follow me too. It was kind of neat though, being under that spotlight...just for a moment it was like I had long hair again.

I've been truffle light! Perhaps I need more truffles. Dood...it's creepy. I am not happy about this tooth thing. So strange that it just POPPED up overnight...it's like I got hit by a guy with a ring or something. Again...I do have some chipped teeth from that, but you can't tell at a glance.

I was not cocky! I did nothing to provoke the lunatic, and laughter was appropriate and much nicer than what he was asking for. I am not a homeless abuser!

Have you noticed the number of "Organized" beggars in Arlington these days? In particular along Lee Highway and of course on Glebe Road at Fairfax drive. I try to feel compassionate about these people and their problems but about a year ago while having drinks down at the Carlyle Grand in Shirlington I saw two of the regulars from Glebe and Fairfax waiting for a table which sort of take the edge off of my compassion. They drive me crazy messing with traffic and littering the median and shoulders of the road. Yesterday at George Mason and Lee Highway a woman was parked in the median in her wheelchair complete with sign and cup. This just can't be a good place for someone in that predicament to be begging.

I've seen beggars drinking in the park, but never hitting a fancy restaurant. Are you sure about that - it reeks of urban myth!

I'm certain it was them - the woman and one of the many men.... perhaps some nice person gave them a gift card to go get a good meal. I suppose that I should not assume otherwise.

4 Mile run park (bike trail down by the Arlington water treatment plant) has a lot of what I would categorize as vagrant types, mostly drunk and passed out. One of them knocked me off my bike down there a few years ago - I should say that the guy that was pushed into me by his buddies was so drunk that they just gave him a nudge as I passed - he toppled took me out and I heard his noggin smack the asphalt - with a deadly thump. All I could imagine was that I was going to be blamed for his injury as he lay there twitching. I called the cops and watched them haul a few of them off to the drunk tank. I hate that park because not only do you have the drunks but the litter and broken glass as well.

Maybe it's time to write a letter to the county board.

Fluorosis? http://www.fluoridealert.org/dental-fluorosis.htm ?
Too much fluoride can be bad for the teeth.
Or just a dark tooth? http://www.hmdds.com/dark_tooth1.htm I think this is your case actually. Hit the tooth, it bleeds, blood stays, tooth dies. Root Canal.

If its lost enamel, you'd know. Tooth chipping off, falling apart, not just discoloured.

Neither, looks more like chipping but can't imagine on what. It's not dark though.
