vicarzI am dropping out of law school. It has nothing to do with the burden of school, my personal needs, or career choices related to money. It's because I've decided it's more important to start over, get my MD, and be an Ob-gyn specializing in abortion. My new cause and career shall be providing safe abortion services to any people needing them. Why? Because I want to be on the short list of people the republican right-wing will let die. They might even kill me, but at least I won't be wired to a machine like the Schiavo case. I am actually sickened by the flagrant disregard for life shown by this congress. It's one thing to drill in the arctic wildlife, pass laws that screw over millions of americans financially, or perhaps wage war over misinformation. It's another to directly cause the suffering of an individual. Is this a bill of attainder?
I cut AP news wire because they used a headline that described the bill from congress, and the prez's happy endorsement, as a "compromise."
Most people should note that the husband might actually suck. The reason this case happened was the woman had such an advanced eating disorder that her heart stopped beating. It seems odd the husband wasn't able to intervene before then. Still, the bitch is dead for the most part. You think she's want to live even if you brought that missing half of her brain back? My family knows I want to be let go if I have so much as a hangnail.
In other news: Tretto.
Tried to watch a movie last night in the bumpkins of Dale City / Potomac Mills, only to have a group of 4-6 kids running in and out of the theatre talking loudly and playing games. Now, I did stupid things as a stupid kid myself, so the aggravation is there but I also understand that movie hopping is fun. It never got bad enough to do something about it.
After the movie I was standing in the hallway, and one of the thuggy kids was standing in the middle of the hallway swinging his arms around so anyone passing by had to make a berth around him (very not-crowded at the time). A 35-40 year old woman walked up to him, decent looking, hair in those ribbon-things. It was his mom. I listened, and not only was she aware that him and his friends/relatives were movive-hopping, SHE WAS DOING IT WITH THEM.
When the ghetto moves out into the burbs, and merges with trailer trash, it's tretto. The scum-sucking hicks have a high-level of congruence with the ghetto-trash, so they have all merged into one pile of festering filth to make the public a place to be feared. I like the term ghetto, but I think it's worth admitting that a) it has racial connotations, and as a non-black you should be cautious about your use of the term, b) it's not just urban anymore, c) it's mixed with the welfare-sucking parasites in the country. I give you tretto - racially nuetral (though quite openly classist), and so far approved by all the gov admin staff I've queried.
Don't get me wrong, I had a fucking wonderful day yesterday hiking from thunderous hell and back withkelowna, but all the good things don't make for interesting story-telling.

She is not capable of conscious thought anymore, but enough of the lower functions continue to maintain life functions. Her husband has a girlfriend with kids, and says she expressed a wish to die in this type of case. Her family swears they hear her laugh and say hello despite the medical evidence, and wants to keep her alive through artificial means.
The courts have repeatedly found in favor of the husband's wish to let her die, and the right-wing has repeatedly ignored that. Jeb Bush, G's brother in Florida where he is govenor, broke the law to violate court orders to prevent her being allowed to die. Since losing in all courts, the republican right-wing congress passed a bill to keep her alive despite the courts, and the president interrupted a trip to show up and sign it in person.
It's all over the news over here.
Uh, speaking of UK pr0n...why is it the few times I run into UK porn there is toe-sucking of men? I'm used to the girl's toe suck angle...but something about men's feet seems less intuitive. Is that a UK thing or am I just hitting odd pr0n? Uh, that is if I looked at pr0n.
