Dreams mean nothing

I went to the gym after class last night. I have as shitty const law prof, who boy. I can't tell you how much this socratic method bs contrasts with all my previous research into adult learning principals.

I had a fun dream last night! I witnessed this bizarre holdup in a gas station that resulted in a large fuel spill. Somehow I went back in time with some friends to let them see the mahem, but wound up in the truck itself. I yelled at the driver to put the fucking brake on, preventing the truck from careening into the hwy the way it had previously. Duh. This girl with a gun then stuck the gun to my temple, and I gave her my wallet. She said something about being passive aggressive, and tried to stick the gun in my mouth. She was distracted by something, and I grabbed the gun - yay! I stuck it in her face but the damn thing didn't go off. I bopped the base of her skull with the butt to knock her out. I assummed her male accomplice would know it wasn't loaded so I hauled over and knocked him similarly, and proceeded to beat his face until it looked like a bloody pudding.

We then noticed, my friends and I, that the mahem had been averted. I noted like a bad star trek episode that we had screwed up the 'time continuom,' but a friend said not to sweat it (giving no explanation) and I guessed that one future was as good as another, and this one had this moment of less mahem.

Don't tell me your dreams and I won't share mine.

In other news, "How would Jesus vote?"
Real Christians debate how jesus would vote, complain that many think that christianity is being portrayed as just about abortions and homos. Many analysts felt he would be a democrat, but would not vote for either as he chose to stay out of politics. But hey, the guy was supposedly a carpenter...

You can always not read my dreams. I didn't say HEY READ THIS. I just thought they were weird. I never said they were meaningful. If anything they mean that I have been sleeping. That is a very good thing for me. My posts were as much about that as anything. so there. ;p

I've actually been meaning to put a post together about this, basically comparing the number of times the Bible mentions homosexuality (less than five, depending on how you interpret a couple of words) and abortions (0), to the number of times it mentions feeding the poor, healing the sick, loving your neighbor, not being a hypocrite, etc. I don't think Jesus would have been a Democrat (because he believed the world was going to end within a few years and afterwards everyone would be ruled by God...), but the "values" the Christian Right seems so bent on advancing are pretty removed from the spirit of what Jesus taught. It's like they saw "Citizen Kane" and thought it was a nice movie about a sled. They are so obsessed with a couple of minor details that they missed the whole point...

I don't know why, but that bit about the sled, caught me as insanely funny. I'm rolling on my floor laughing. Really.
