you know, i saw a headline on this this morning, and was so disappointed when i realized i'd misread it. i first read it as, "missouri votes for gay bar union". (really. talk about your wishful thinking...)

Why would any sane person want to move/live in Missori? I'm not sure marrying your cousin or incest is illegal in Missori. They're only banning gay marriage because they don't want brothers marrying brothers and sisters marrying sisters.

I mean it. I don't think it's not illegal there to marry your cousin.

I will say the chances of genetic defect are alot less than scientists originally thought for marrying your cousin. It's like 2% or something like that. The problem comes in when you do it continuously through generations, like the european aristocrats, then you get madness and birth defects.

Missouri does not allow cousins to marry. The following states do, tho some of these don't let them have children, or don't let double-first cousins marry:

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin
