Came home from boxing today to a sign on the door that the hot water heater died late today - and to replace it our water will be off from 7:30 - 10:00 PM. My stale boxing sweat may be a biohazard by then...

I don't know where you go for boxing, but shouldn't they have showers there?

I think showering in the gym may be the only thing scarier than not showering at all. But yes, I could strap on flip-flops and go there.

I actually found there was some residual water pressure, and I just took a really bad camping bath using my tub, dribbling water, and...well damn do I look good with goosebumps and pointy nipples!

I guess it would be rather annoying to go back after you got home.

I haven't had to use a gym shower since I was on swim team in high school. It never got the chorine reek off so it wasn't very useful.

I used to shower in a fairly well-maintained and clean gym, and still I had to use powder for the red itchy foot problem that occurred. I stopped showering in gyms - foot problems disappeared. Public showers are icky icky germ home places (sorry about the technical terminology).
