Change occurs in steps, not along a continuum. I can tell I've changed, not sure if it's stress followed by relief related, using the noggin more, or what - but I know I like it. Funny you don't recognize change as it happens but after the fact. I spend time lamenting about where I happen to be, what has and what has not been achieved. That's not necessary - so long as I'm moving somewhere I think where isn't so important. The process is its own reward.
