Is organized religion distinct from this post-apocalyptic view? The mindless chanting, the simplified logic, the leaders with private agendas misrepresenting the truth to further their private goals...

i can't believe the public isn't all a rage at the "off the record" meeting that took place today.

Actually the church and the thunderdome - the chanting was very convincing. Republicans are a fair comparison, as republican theory is so consistently disproven by reality that it borders a religous doctrine.

Off the record? I don't find any of the public displays to be convincing by either side. I hate demonstrations. I care more about specific votes and histories of behavior. The rhetoric is not convincing by itself.
