See I'm really not feeling well. My physical strength is eliminated, which means gut will be coming forthwith, and my source of mood-boosting endorphins is gone. Hell I can't even drink because of the medication. School is stressing me out, which means...

It's time to talk about mass murder again! Yes, when angst bleeds over into anger, we start down the happy road of "Well if I can't have it, at least I can take it from others." Thank you misinterpreted 2nd amendment! Thank you redneck state that borders a major metropolitan area!

New twists:
1) It seems fetus' are about to be declared alive (see flemco for history, news for details). Now, this gives an interesting paradox to survival of the ye who breeds the most. Given the fact that smart people with money have zero to 2 kids, and morons who suck welfare from the ass of man have 8-54 children per mongrel, within 10 generations or so the world will be significantly dumber and lazier. I know, hard to believe. In any case the lesson to absorb here is: the most successful genetic trait for a human in today's world is the desire to breed in quantity.

Well. If a fetus is alive, and outlawing abortion is next, this may add an interesting twist to an old crime: rape. You see, today if someone is raped, besides the horror of the crime and hoping they don't get a life-long disease, there is the horror of becoming preggers and having to abort this rap-ey fetus. Well, if the fetus from the crime is now protected by law - this gives breeders a whole new reason to rape, and rape in quantity - genetic advantage! Say they go on a spree, and rape 5-15 people. Even if caught and killed, the rapist has successfully spread his genetic code! Perhaps his behavior will resurface in the offspring, leading to more aggressive breeders!

Thank you republicans for discouraging welfare, and encouraging rape as the new genetically based behavior to ensure genetic superiority!

2) Instead of just killing people, why not specifically target genetic disasters. Remember the terrorists taking out half the Israeli Olympic team? That's some serious genetic damage to the pool (by the lowest of the pool, at that). Perhaps a fertilizer bomb going off in the middle of a Harvard campus would have the effect of lowering the collective IQ?

Better yet, kill at what may appear to be random, but is instead a carefully targeted group of people who represent the end of a particular genetic line or trait. You could have a tremendous (negative) impact on the human race through genetic selection!

This presumes that low intelligence and laziness are innate, heritable traits, a position for which there is little to no evidence.

They may not be inheritable traits but you could make an argument for nurture. There are a lot of people who use the word intellectual as an insult. Someone who devalues knowledge is unlikely to raise children who value education, hence not necessarily less intelligent but dumber. As far as laziness, plenty of people seem to feel they are entitled to things that they have in no way earned, that sense of entitlement could easily be passed on to their offspring.

But that more supports an argument that efforts should be made to improve the environment in which children are raised, rather than prohibiting certain people from breeding.

You mean like President Bush?

Maybe I could set off my bomb in the 'heritage' portion of the campus?

I was in rant mode not serious argument contemplation. I would never support the idea of prohibiting certain people from breeding, although I don't think I implied that I did.

President Bush is normally my example that having a college degree and an education aren't necessarily synonymous but your example works too.

I think I'm pretty smart and everyone who knows me knows I'm lazy. I'm trying to convince my boyfriend to just buy paper plates so we don't have to wash them. The problem isn't laziness it's lack of work ethic. These are very different. I always show up to work on time ready to work, and to do a good job. I earn what I get. I don't expect people to give me things.

And, indeed, "work ethic" is almost certainly not a heritable trait.

And I've been doing the paper plates thing for years.

Yeah, but I feel that going to paper, for me, would be the last straw of laziness.

The way I see it, there are more important things about myself to put effort into improving than the fact that I don't wash dishes.

The environment disagrees!
