Dec. 7th, 2014 08:56 amSad bunny is sad. I admit I've scrolled through eljay, my eljay, that I did last night, and am scared to do so again today. I also have to and will.
I visited Sarah in Canada and it was more than either of us expected. While I've never been disappointed with the results of being open, public, and honest, it seems the stakes are higher and it's difficult to "think to yourself" when everyone can see what is said. This writing, these words, are me attempting to be less rude. I'm rude for saying something; nothing would be rude.
I'm going to keep moving; I'm going to not think, not dwell, so I can process (at least in theory). Both my stupidity, and my referring to -my tendency to write off taking actions or decisions as stupidity- are something I need to adjust.
I'm going to try and avoid rampant vaguebooking but suddenly there is a lot I want to, but can't or shouldn't, write about. I'm also sadly devoid of words. If nothing else I'll write some things about differences perceived, and not, between 10 deg celsius and here. An itinerary. I might write a long something to myself.
I'm glad the trip ended because on the way home I checked my face in the rear view and it's totally time to trim my nose hair. YES I SAID THAT
Just about the trip:
If you do the not-toll version, the gps is fine, even good, but do not try the trip at night in precip.
Get some addresses in between the places so you can tell the GPS when to avoid tolls and not - avoiding all tolls will try to go through Me, and there is no option for "It's ok to pay the peace bridge toll but skip the others."
The classic rock you grew up with as a kid is huge on the radio for some reason. Also, god has expanded his great power to lonely white folks through a network of satellite broadcasts to the mountains the way AM used to help the tin-foil hat community.
When you fill up, please make sure you pull into the not-full-service pump. I didn't even know they had those any more.
Not only do lots of people leave their highbeams on, but others rarely flash them for doing so; the etiquette has changed/vanished
Tea is better than coffee but will still require other stops, and if you do not plan for this PLUS you are rushing through windy roads as dark is landing on you like a wet blanket, there will be uncomfortable moments where you look longingly at an empty cup rolling around on the floor NO.
Rt 70 never looked so lovely, but the 6 hour mark and and all subsequent moments are borderline hellish.
Disco is always driving music.
Eljay just added a feature where you have to type in an ad phrase to leave comments for folks with unpaid accounts, even if you're logged in and posting from a paid account! My commenting to unpaid accounts just plummeted. Oh the rzn mafia is wearing me down.
