So I lied again:
The shot was on my ball & socket sure, my hip, but it turns out you can get to a hip front or back - it's a shorter distance not through your ass. Silly not a doctor me. So he gave me the shot from the front.

Just made a labral tear issues tag

It didn't hurt much going in, though I was scared it would. I is quivering / muscle is vibrating a little so I'm taking it easy at least until this afternoon.

Dr. talk:
1. He thought ignoring it was an option, annual MRIs were silly - if it prevents you from doing things that's an issue, if not that fine, but why just arbitrarily decide what worse is?

He noted it could heal on its own theoretically, but if I'm doing deep squats that's going to keep yoinking on it.

HORRIBLE THING I NEED TO DO - RESEARCH NOT LIFTING AS AN OPTION
Shit if I went to running ... great way to "meet chicks." But I really like strength training.

2. Surgery - recovery varies a lot - 4 weeks on crutches may be overstating it, could be 2 weeks - hard to say as a lot of the specifics of surgery take place only once it's started and he sees it. How much shaving from the bone is a major issue. 2 weeks, 2.5 may be requiring a hip brace, crutches. To me this means I could work and reasonably plan to work around my hearing/travel schedule

Post cortisone stuff:
1. Right now, I feel weird, virbrating a little. Quivering in the hip joint. I'm going to take it easy, though if feeling ok will lift this afternoon.
2. If good, possible do nothing course: Doing PT for mobility for 2 weeks - could lead to a long term nonsurgical option (unlikely but worth a shot) (pun)
3. If no change, bad, may need to probe to see if there is a lower spine sciatica isssue.
4. If good, then returns to bad, kinda nails the "this is a surgery thing" option as that's the area that needs help.

I need a nap but someone scheduled a conference call while I was on vacation.
