It's really hard to figure out non-financial or career issues, such as "who am I," "what is really important to me rather than what used to be important to me," and really things like "is that pattern of thought and behavior healthy?"

Luckily I'm humble enough to ask and to be satisfied when the answer is "I have no fucking idea, but top gear might be on."

Today I did my Monday workout at Ballston Golds - I'm still in "rehab" so it wasn't too hard. I decided to try cleans at 1 plate (135) for the first time (or the first time in a long time). I know I'm doing it wrong, so I'm using the exercise to: i) build power work / explosive strength into my workout, ii) do something different, iii) do something fun, iv) do something really fucking scary to me and do it anyway (see fun) (something something sex something something), v) stay really light until I gain a clue what I'm doing and don't feel like I have no idea what I'm doing because I have no idea what I'm doing, and iv) use the bumper plates and rack for the type of thing it's actually designed for.

I say that last bit because to do cleans I had to wait for an old man (or a guy my age, who can tell) to do his reps of bicep curls with no weight on the bar on the bumper plate stand and rack. Seriously, that's a new high - bicep curls in the squat rack not hard core enough for you? Try the bumper plate pavilion!

More importantly I'm not in love with diablo 3, but I'm also being lazy about learning what I'm doing.
