I'm almost exclusively strength training, with the intent of this being a temporary thing. The way I'm doing it seems to be generating slow results and as predicted eating more while looking better / less pot-bellied. However, if I hit some lifting milestones I'll be returning to add some cardio/running/sprints just to make sure I can do it; or if no milestones I'll just pick that up again when it's fall/cooler outside.

My left elbow got better but not 100%, but my right elbow has exhibited the same symptoms bad. More likely diagnosis is now just arthritis. Damn. But, I was never going to be a fighter anyway and at least I can do _something_. I do miss boxing...really miss the inarguable workout where I just did whatever was told for that hour or two.

Most of my program is 5/3/1 with support exercises, including sets of 10 after each lift. I can't argue with my clipboard.

Last week:

Day 1:
Squat - main lift of 260 for 6 (no longer ass-to-grass, but deeper than parallel)
Squats 3x10 reps @ 225 for support,
hamstring curls 3x10 @ 90 lbs (seated, may not reflect usual laying bench)

Day 2:
Overhead Press - 120 for 5, 85 for 10/10/6 reps
ELIMINATED pull ups - makes elbow feel like it's stabbed with a knife
(day 3 off/rest)

Day 4:
Deadlift - 325 for 6
Deadlift 3x10 reps at 225
*note, my grip on the right seems weaker even though I evenly split my grips and cross grips, so I suspect my elbow problem has a secondary impact on my grip. I'm still not going to use wraps though - I'm not unhappy lifting 3 plates or more though I'd still like to see 4 plates.
*note, having trouble with the sets of 10 of 225 after my big lift - feels fine at the time but 2-3 days later my back is worthless
Hanging ab / straight leg lifts: 10/10/6

Day 5:
Bench - 185 for 5
Bench 135 for 5 sets of 10
ELIMINATED lat pulls due to elbow

Food:
More frequently taking when/skim milk mix in jug to workout for immediate ingestion post workout
I ate an entire Baltimore Bomb pie from Dangerously Delicious Pies in 3 days
Lots of beer but not much liquor this week, but it was a high alcohol week
