Jun. 14th, 2011 12:31 pmNO I'm not used to the time change yet! Ow!
Went to the same venue / different club night on Sun night - had a lot more fun. No paid dancers, but I may be overreacting to the girls-on-boxes. I hear they are scene folks and don't really get paid much. Sun there were regular dancers on the boxes - mostly one guy and one girl, and each of them was a good high-energy dancer (but not so naked).
Ho-cubes!
The music started with some gothy/synth stuff but got more stompy as the night went on. I was less mad about the weak drinks due to foreknowledge and pregaming. I also think I pulled my head out of my ass and spent more time both talking to friends and dancing. Paul worked and I had to hit the airport (Paul awesomely chauffeured me there on the way to work) so we didn't stay all that late.
On the flight back the pilot notified us that we could see the wildfires in Arizona...and we did. Mostly you just saw giant plumes of smoke covering the land and reaching the clouds in the sky.
