Apr. 7th, 2011 04:45 pmShutdown? The rep's offer a stopgap for another week, 6 months into the unfunded year...only it "cuts funding for abortion and environmental programs." Wow - I miss the concept of any hint of decency.
A friend just reminded me the dems majority could have passed the budget during their term and failed to. Oh.
Today I wished everyone a happy furlough when I left the office.
My new tires don't seem to squeal at all around corners, so I don't yet know how fast I can go. The result may be better than expected.
For some reason when I refreshed my diablo accts I kinda got the bug and started kinda playing again. They just restarted a new ladder season. It seems hard-core now eliminated esc or I encountered a bug. I have no interest in pay-subscription games, or really any form of subscription.
I forgot tonight is new revolution night. We shall see after my lazy ass naps since I have been up since 3 and get up at 5:30 tomorrow to be disrespected by the US public.
Today I gave training on the hearing process to a room of investigators. I think I did better, and was funnier, when I just winged it. My boss said I was really in my element, and suggested there may be a way to parlay that energy into opportunities - I mentioned I just got ethics to clear me in teaching a free basics of employment discrimination class. After the training, I was presented with a certificate which I didn't expect,
chocofuckingchipcookies, which I did not expect and ate in one sitting (oops),
and a handfull of lottery tickets since there is no budget! Aw that was so sweet of them.
Today was the last of my light workouts on the down week, next week the hellishness starts again with sets of 5 or more. With any luck, I'll have plenty of unpaid time to do that!
