Coffee isn't the same as sleeping
Alcohol isn't the same as happy
The internet is not the same as a friend, nor a debate when you can screen disagreement
A link isn't the same as a thought
A comic book isn't the latter
Yesterday was a bit disappointing, despite the fame of being linked as 1/100 pictures on a website I never heard of before. It was generally an anti-teabag and anti-republican convention. I know the "let's not yell" contingent is generally liberal, and we got a lot of good responses - but at the same time we got too many "I'm sorry for you" comments to me regarding my republican friend (she got no such comments, but did spar with a drunken loser to tried to argue "It's awesome to be a democrat" but flailed on answering specific reasons she might find it so). Also, while I haven't watched the video...from all the reviews the content of the rally was next to nil. Musical guests? I was hoping for more neutral politicians or even speakers from both sides - but it was really more a comedy entertainment show and far less cerebral than the usual show. I guess the numbers will say something but there is a lot of room for then wondering what those numbers mean. Gina was a trooper, but she's more comfortable in multiple elements than I am.
As I write runners are walking by from the marathon.
I might go out to the tronik spooky thingy tonight and just make a short night of it. I kind of like my dumb mainstream poorly done with little effort costume. I picked the only party full of people who hadn't seen the movie / read the comics for last night, and was too crazy tired for - and even forgot - the spellybound. Funny.
