Today I wore a scarf
Apr. 29th, 2010 07:42 amSo with a fast "hmm" in the work mood, the fargin job I applied for
I still use the term "fargin" and "ice-hole" since the movie Johnny Dangerously - am I the only one who does this and never found the joke to get old?
is once again posted. Last time, last 3 times, it came back indicating I was not qualified (I do virtually the same work as the advertisement). It would take no effort to apply, and...based on that I think I'll apply again. I can always say no, and damnit I'm so curious wth they don't see in my application I may well file a bloody EEO if rejected without sight again. You can go informal just to get information. Maybe they don't think I have enough years since the bar. Maybe they won't count the same work under the 201 code rather than 905. They don't seem to have a preselection going on as they keep reposting. Maybe the job sucks salty balls and people keep running the hell out of there.
I can't get over the location, and it's right at the metro. It's also a 15, and I'm about midway into a lower grade (but in a pay band, not the GS system).
Thanks to Colin I'm listening to http://www.stripmallarchitecture.com/
I'm ashamed that I just bought BP stock this year. I honestly bought it because while I wanted to invest in oil without being a total douche, I thought and heard BP was one of the best oil companies in terms of human rights and the environmental impact of their operations. Uh, they're the ones with that post-Obama endorsed offshore drilling coincidental flood thingy. Oops.
I had a bunch of little things to talk about but I can't recall them all, and I'd feel guilty if I spent more than 5 mins or so putting up an eljay on the clock.
I think I'm going to buy Nick's "Get off my lawn" t-shirt.
I'm fat and my elbow hurts again. My brain leaks.
First in line for a cyberbody, raise your hand!
TRONIK - yes I think. Mostly probably yes.
