So per yesterdays pollish thing on speed: I'm shocked
I have a hard time believing that people believe the speed limits are appropriate and violating them is safe; yet that is what the reaction was to my poll. This would explain why people support speed traps, cameras, and low speed limits - they think the limits are fair and if they get a ticket, they blame themselves.

I guess I'm the outlier for thinking the speed limits are far too low.

This is why I suck at investing, and well...people. I just don't get it; I am empathetic as hell but I just don't understand how or why people feel the way they do. This is why I suck at investing too - my RIMM shot is still down while the same investment in AAPL would have gone up 25-50%.

Hmm. I'm home with hours to spend doing laundry goofing off. How about a twittery lj post:
I got a personnel action form today. It turns out I make more money than I thought. I am not displeased.
By the end of this week another 3 cases will likely be off my "docket" with only the mega-poo looming in the near future. I may have tons of time soon.

I'm selling some stuff - does anyone need:
Roomba 2.1 $75 (barely used, gray, no charging dock, has manuals, note - doesn't work for dick on surfaces that include both carpet and wood floor - though it's fine on one or the other)
Dehumidifier $100 - Whirlpool AD70USRO (big, has manual, used frequently for about a year)

I'm probably going to ditch my back to basics gym program. I'm hitting the point where my weights are starting to stick...but it's about where they were to start with. So after about 4 weeks the step down and change reps, big warmup routine from Rippetoe...is looking like it will not be as effective for me as what I was already doing. Hey - I haven't quit it yet and I was open-minded enough to give it a try. I may try another one of the more advanced programs from the same guy/school of thought. I thought it might be too basic, but I was humbly listening to others to see if dumbing down what I do would help me up the few big weights and help with my injuries. So far it's looking like doing less simply results in less gains. I'll take slow over none BUT it's not over yet. Maybe I'll be surprised.

It's about time to do donations for this year's charity. I've got so many friends, good ones even, sponsoring specific charities that I'm even more zealous about sticking to my "no soliciting friends donations." The main one that caught my eye was heartfelt and personal to the person soliciting - but I just have this gut-hurl push-back reaction to friends asking sponsorship (he don't read dis). Asking in general to give to this charity or that is awesome - particularly if you can link to the charity navigator page showing their good ratio of expenses to funds use. My typical categories each year are: environment, human suffering on a very basic level (what point is there to legalizing drugs if people don't have food?), animals maybe, human rights & freedoms, and then there are politics...
