May. 10th, 2009 03:44 pmOh the pr0n last night! Went to dethmetalknight which turned out to be a lot more me-danceable music than I was expecting, and they were showing star trek movies (khan, first contact). So, I had the hot-porn experience of leaning back with a drink in my hand watching my hottie girlfriend dancing in tiny shorts, fishnets, and back-exposing top while star trek played in the background with subtitles. Oh goosh in my pants.
After club involved some samurai jack, oh and before club had amelie. Oh, and Coraline at the drunkhouse. Been a busy weekend. So today we decided to watch the new start trek movie so our friends could stop taking in circles around us to try and not ruin our experience. So, I'm going to not ruin your experience if you haven't seen it yet - but it's worth seeing, even in a theater. No spoilers here, but I will say they did a wonderful job of staying close to the character development and plot lines we are familiar with, while opening a lot of doors for new experiences. It is non-stop action, but generally well written and not succumbing to many of the usual bad plot devices found in sci fi (except one glaring exception - the bad guys' aim sucks).
Murky is dead (long live murky) but that inspired me/us to re-discover Java Shack. It's independent, artsy, very community oriented, and super-dooper gay friendly. They clearly see themselves as a member of the community, and have written statements and awards on the walls to prove it. I will be moving in.
Summer thought-it-was-allergy-thing is feeling slightly more plague like.
Typed from my laptop because for some reason my stupid wireless keyboard has decided while it works with some buttons, all the typing keys are no longer sending (or receiving) information with my computer. My new phone has also started losing touch with the base for no reason. Clearly brain-control cov/alien waves screwing up my house-tech. Grr.
